For those of you who think that you might be getting an invitation to the big event for Kiersten and Eric- I am happy to announce….

It’s official!

A decision has been made…

Kiersten 2009 027

Shortly after Kiersten and Earic  were reunited,  Gary (the SFOB) and I (the MOB) took a trip to Utah to see the happy couple.  Little did they know that the goal of this weekend trip to Utah was to take them to dinner and “help” them in their selection of THE perfect date. Mission accomplished!

The new wedding date is January 2, 2010

01/02/2010

Why do I say it’s THE perfect date?  Because if you look closely at the day it’s a mirror image of itself.  Surely this is a sign of  GOOD LUCK. But just to be sure I GOOGLED this date to see if there was any additional “good luck” information.

This is what I found via GOOGLE

1.  The wedding date will NOT interfere with the Fiesta Bowl 2010 which is being played on January 4th. That’s good luck for Kiersten and Eric because that means all the “guys” will actually be at the reception and not watching it in the house on television.

2. To see if the numbers have any special meaning I searched: “how to use numerology to determine if your wedding date is good luck” and this is what’s in store for Kiersten and Eric’s future:

(So here’s how you do it: add all the numbers in the date together until you get a single numeral.)

0+1+0+2+2+0+1+0=6

This is what I found out about the NUMBER 6 from Visions of Reality

The blessings of Venus with all of her Love and Devotion fall on the Number SIX wedding day. Love, affection, peace and happiness are the favors Venus may bestow. This does not mean that there is no challenge or that you are under some kind of magical charm. Responsibility, trust and caring are a must for maintaining this wonderful beginning. This couple will be willing to work hard and long hours together, with lots of time for discussion and planning things out, because the marriage will become the upmost of importance in both lives.

3.  When you search: What do people think of wedding being held Janauary 2, 2010 you will find these responses:

I wouldn’t do it.

Forever more your anniversary will get lost in that dead zone time right after Christmas and New Year’s. People will forget to send cards and to call. You and your hubby will be too pooped to plan anything.

As for the wedding itself, depending on where you live, travel in January could be iffy. All the things you expressed in your question are true. People might even forget to attend as they, too, get caught in that same dead zone.

My birthday is December 26th. My family has always been wonderful about making sure they acknowledge it. Lately, though, I’ve been finding that I’m not even interested in going out for supper. I’m socialized out from Christmas.

My Impression:  Mrs. Wilkins is still bitter about the fact that she had her brithday the day after Christmas. I bet her anniversary was December 27thWouldn’t matter what you did-she will always be a whiner

Jaded rambled:

(This was the safest image of “Jaded” that I could use on this blog-sorry it’s a doll!)

i have to go to an out of state wedding this jan 3 2009. am i mad about it? am i resentful i have to chop up my holiday plans and spend tons more money to go to this because everything is ten times more expensive over this holiday, and, i will have to fight thru tons and tons of people whereever i go on those days, am i resentful that when i get there i will probably not even get a full meal at the reception, am i annoyed that this couple could not have found a regular weekend that was not wrapped around the most expensive time of the year?
i have to go cause it is family but i assure you they are getting the minimum present from me, the least i can possibly give, cause this is such a hardship for me, i cant stand it. i will go to an outlet place and buy a vase for $10.00 that was marked down, and wrap it and give it to them, if they were considerate of me and my time and money and personal plans for the holiday i will have to cancel to go to this i would be happy and i would give them a huge present.
so, no i hate hate hate new years weddings. this is my 3rd one. dont even get me started on the first two i attended. grrrrrrrr.

My impression:Jaded doesn’t believe is capital letters and loves lengthy sentence structures. GRRRR!

(I couldn’t decide which Kennah wrote this so take your pick…)

Kennah #1

Kennah#2

Kennah #3

yes-ppl might be a little hung over and or not up to going.

yes-ppl might be too tired.

yes-probably a little less well off lol.

and ppl might be traveling/not around during that time because of the holidays and they might not be able to attend.

and everything you’ve stated are reasons why you should think.

the question is if you really want this date for your wedding more then you want the ppl that mean the most to you to be there..

good luck!

My Impression: Kennah’s a guy! (Note use of ppl, lol and being hung over.)

So regardless of what “bowl” game is happening, what the numbers say or other’s opinions…I’m pretty certain that we finally have an excuse to:

SAVE THE DATE!

Happy New Wedding Day Kiersten and Eric
