A few days ago Debs had the genius idea to start a weekly post titled ‘GET OVER IT’. This post will be dedicated to the annoying, crazy, psychotic, humorous, and confusing things us Bella Girls may notice or experience.
As I sat down to contemplate the ‘GET OVER IT’ moments I could write about I realized there are seriously thousands of things I could rant and rave about. (This is partially due to the fact I am not a nice person.) The majority of the time I am watching the world around me with a scrooge-like attitude. AND NO I AM NOT ASHAMED TO ADMIT IT! Most people bug me, (including myself… Sometimes I annoy myself SO bad that I literally tell myself to shut up. Ask my husband, Michael. He will come home from work and sweetly ask me “How was your day babe?” to which I reply, “You know what… I have been annoying the HELL-o out of myself all day long. I am so sick of ME!!!!!” ) most situations make me angry, and most of the time I envision myself physically harming people.
Anyways… this past week has been hard for me. Real hard. It was hard because Bella Fine closed and all the crazies decided to came out and play.
This whole week I wish I had, had a little FLIP camera so I could tape shoppers throughout the store. I had people tearing florals apart when they thought no one was looking so they could purchase a particular stem of flowers or grass. These crazies would walk up to me with a flower covered in glue, pieces of moss, and an obviously cut stem and ask me “how much does this cost?” to which I would reply with the sweetest of smiles, “Oh you mean the one you physically yanked out of an arrangement while you hid in the corner? It will only cost you $100 and your right hand (Que machete) BAM! “
I also had the pleasure of working with a customer who literally spent 3 hours in the store picking up product and setting it back down. This kind woman finally decided she was ready to purchase a partial bolt of ribbon but quickly became IRATE when she had to wait 30 seconds while we checked on something for another customer. She went on to have a mini meltdown yelling about how we were making her late to work! THREE HOURS PEOPLE! She was in the store for 3 hours and our 30 seconds MADE HER LATE!!! WTF?
Lastly I had a wonderful woman inform me that one of our florals was falling apart. I was grateful for the information until I noticed she was carrying the floral by the flowers. This smart lady discovered that the floral (which I should mention was made of dried/preserved roses) fell apart when she grabbed the rose petals and pulled. So to further show me the flowers would fall apart she literally pulled the dried roses out of the container and threw them on the floor. All I could do was stare. I can still hear her saying, “ahhhh look! LOOK! see the flowers??? I can pull them right out…. (toss on the floor)….. right out…. (throw on the floor)…. they all come right out!”
So this week I am over retail customers, I am over myself being bugged by crazy customers, and I am OVER listening to customers complain about things that they don’t ever intend on buying! So to all you crazy customers…. this is what I dream of.
