There is a tradition at our house every Halloween night.
We pair our “trick or treat” activities with homemade Chicken N’ Dumplings AND hot from the oven Cinnamon Rolls. It’s a tradition that the family has come to appreciate-especially now that they all have lives of their own. After all who wouldn’t love a home-cooked meal made by someone else?
This year I’m going to set a fun Halloween table to go along with the great food. So today I share with you the first step to making my table look blog worthy-the Glitzy Pumpkin Centerpiece.
Items Needed for Centerpiece:
Glittered Pumpkin (at least 28” around)
Urn (paint black if necessary)
Black Halloween wreath
Black roses (sprayed with gold glitter)
Halloween Ribbon
Decorative Garland (cut apart)
Halloween pics or stems (bats, glitter leaves, etc.)
Black crow
Directions:
-
Stack Black Halloween wreath on top of urn that’s been filled with green Styrofoam.
-
Secure with floral pics and hot glue. (See picture above.)
-
Prepare the following and add to the black wreath: black roses (spray with glitter and cut to appropriate length), make bows using Halloween ribbon, cut decorative garland into small pieces, prepare decorative pics.
-
Secure all items into the wreath-hot glue in place.
-
Set Glittered Pumpkin into center of black wreath and attach with hot glue. (Be careful with the hot glue-make sure that you place the pumpkin in the center because you probably won’t get another chance.)
-
Place black crow, additional decorative picks and ribbon to top of pumpkin.
Place in center of table.
Happy Halloween!
Debs

Katie - Hi, This is darling! Can you tell me where you purchased the urn?
Thanks!

debbie - Hi Katie- I happened to have the urn on hand. I would check any local garden store during the summer since they typically stock these light-weight urns this time of the year. Use can paint any urn black-so look for one that’s the right shape and height. Good Luck! Deb
