Office Makeover: Closet Edition

As most of our readers know, I am in the middle of giving my office a design makeover. If you missed my previous office posts, you may find them here and here. One area of my office I’ve been focusing on this week is the craft closet. You see, last year I gave my thrift store sewing desk a makeover and moved it into my office. What I didn’t tell you is that I removed the closet doors and shoved the sewing desk inside. After organizing the closet and painting the office, here is what I’m left with.

Not that exciting, right?  Well, trying imagining this space with…

CamberleyAfter I’ve rearranged my white store boxes, I’d like to add additional storage above or around my sewing desk.  Here are some creative storage ideas that sing to me.  I didn’t know creative storage ideas sang either, until I started writing this post.

As for the wallpaper in my little crafty closet, I’m debating whether or not I should go with a floral print or a geometrical print. My friend Kirk recently turned me on to Given Campbell’s wallpaper and now, when I close my eyes, all I see is patterns. Here are some of Given Campbell’s wallpapers that I’m digging. Please feel free to chime in with any wallpaper suggestions you may have.

Given CampbellNow I’m sure some of you wrinkled your noises when you reader “Fabric Panels” in my above picture.  Hear me out.  I just want some clean, sleek fabric panels that match my wall color.  When you walk into my office I don’t want your eyes to go straight to the fabric panels. I want them to blend in.  What do you guys think of these basic curtains from IKEA?

White Fabric PanelsLast question is, who wants to go to IKEA with me this weekend?
