Pregnancy Fashion: “Is She Pregnant?” Stage

What most of you don’t know is that it took Dallan and I quite awhile to conceive our “little germ” (that’s what Michael has nicknamed this baby).  After almost a year of “trying”, it was obvious to the two of us that something was wrong.  Fortunately for us, after meeting with a fertility specialist, we learned our problems were fixable with the help of modern day medicine.  If any of you are looking for a good doctor, let me know.

Since the road to getting pregnant took a little longer than expected, it has left me relishing every moment of this pregnancy.  Although the morning sickness and headaches weren’t fun, they were a nice reminder that I actually had a little being growing inside of me. And even though my body is getting “soft” I’ve learned to enjoy my expanding waistline (instead of feeling self conscious).

In the past two weeks, I’ve entered what I call the “Is she pregnant?” stage.  You know the stage were people look at you and wonder, “Is she pregnant? Or has she just gained some weight?”. In this stage of pregnancy, I’ve learned you’ve got to get a little creative with your fashion choices.  It’s all about creating an illusion. Lately, I’ve been pairing a lot of loose fitting blouses with small cardigans, jackets and stretchy fabric pants.  Here are some of my favorite things for the “Is She Pregnant?” Stage.

Roxy - From the moment I enter the 2nd tri, I tend to develop a hate/hate relationship with anything that resembles a waistband so I love my bella band, leggings & maxi dresses.

I also find that contantly rubbing my belly helps clear up any questions folks might have. :) Or maybe they just assume I have gas. Either way, congrats again on your little germ. Baby Bean & I look forward to meeting you soon!
