For what seems like forever, my office has been “under construction”.  After I got my walls repainted and my man to make me a work island, I just stopped. When I really think about it I realize it would only take a few hours of hard work to get it done, but for some reason it remains unchanged! Being that I spend an outrageous amount of time in this room/dungeon, I’ve decided I NEED to get it done. I hate looking around every 15 minutes and seeing the bare walls, lack of organization, and unfinished projects. So after a couple weeks of being seriously peeved with myself, I’ve narrowed down 4 ideas for the wall above my work island. Once I’ve decided on which design I like best, I’m going to force myself to get it done. With all that being said, what option would you choose?

1.) A single long shelf with a few art pieces & trinkets.

2.) Two very large and simple prints. I’m considering leaving them frame-less.

3.) A few small shelves (left-centered) so most of the wall remains bare but isn’t boring.

4.) A cord, rope, or chain draped over the table to hang my paint creations.

Oh, the options! I can’t decide. Thoughts?

option 2 for sure, especially if you like having a bold print in your working space.

I would go for option 1 or 4. You can easily switch your decor out seasonally or whenever you want!

I prefer #4 you can personalize, and seasonally rotate your art and thus your view.

I like two and four the best. I like to have a clean desk to work not with a lot of nick-nacks!

Number 4, for sure. Lots of ways to change it up and lots of space for “inspirations”!

Tough call…I really like option 4 but I also like option 3. Whatever you do I am sure it will be great.

Thanks so MUCH for all the input. I love hearing other peoples thoughts. It never crossed my mid that some options may be better because I could change things out seasonally! You’ll ROCK!

    1 or 4

I vote for #2 – a nice, simple look. Alternatively, you could wrap two large pieces of cork board (or similar material) in a fun print you love / heavy weight fabric and then you have you inexpensive artwork plus a pin board for some inspirational images.

I love option 2! Your desk/work table is absolutely amazing as well. Very inspiring!
