Gone, Fancy Gone…

Some of you may be thinking to yourselves, “Aren’t there six contributors on Fancy House Road? Why in the world do we only hear from two girls! I’m bored…”

Well my friends, foes, or frenemies, there has been a lot of happenings in the lives of the Fancy girls. I won’t get into details because they may become future blog posts, however I will update you.

FIRST we have the battle of the babies. The moment I found out both of my sisters were pregnant, I knew there would be competition! How could there not be? We have the veteran mommy vs the newbie. The newbie vs the veteran. What I didn’t foresee however was the competition of the babies! These two babies seem to be giving each other and their moms some serious competition. ┬áIt looks as though they are racing one another to see who can break free from the U-prison first.

SECOND we have a mover and a shaker. Jamie decided recently to add more chaos to her life of 3 boys with a move! She’ll be back when she can get boxes unpacked and her life settled.

THIRD our Debs has seemed to run away. We are all motherless at the moment and counting down the days until we can get her back. No one said taking over the world would be easy… only that it would be worth it. Go Debs!

In other news, some of you readers may have heard my story of hiding my wedding ring from possible burglars. Well, after 6 months I finally discovered where I hid it!!!

Yep, at the bottom of a cup full of used batteries. This was the last place I thought I would have chosen to safeguard my vintage and priceless wedding ring… I need to be better at hiding items from ‘burglars’.

Annie - Lucky you! Years ago my mom had hers on the bathroom counter cleaning in solution and went missing for a year. We moved and out of the blue we noticed a shiny diamond ring tucked in the weave of a wicker trash basket. How it survived a move and the daily routine of dumping out trash, I have no idea!

Katie - I was once told by a family friend that when my engagement/wedding ring was off my finger, I should put it in the freezer in a ring box. It doesn’t hurt the ring/diamond….and no one will be looking in there for it!
