Since Josephine came along, I find myself pausing more throughout the day. I take time to kiss the rolls over her neck. I study the way she combs toys and food with her hands. I play one too many games of peek-a-boo. I’m trying to soak it all in. Amongst the chaos that is life, I find solitude in singing to her as she eats (even if I’m sick of singing the same songs over and over again).
She’s my little Joy-Jo.
