Link to Good Girls Gone Spooky

What happened to these once classy, chic, and modish women? Considering we have Halloween right around the corner, I thought we could take a look at some spooky style mishaps. Oh the tragedy!

Good Girl:

Spooky Girl:

I know, I’m freaked out too. What happened Taylor!?!?! First step to recovery, lose the eye make up.

Good Girl:

Spooky Girl:

Oh hey Gumby!

Say whhhat? Are those floating devices? I can handle your short hair Rihanna, but some of your fashion choices are not-so-sheek.

Good Girls:

Spooky Girls:

Taylor? Is that you on the left? Oh wait, that is just an Olson twin making the same fashion faux pas. When will they learn!!!

She wore an eye mask as a headband and a blanket for a dress, just in case she became sleepy.

Hey Ashley, Come to Denver! We have plenty of homeless shelters in the area!

For the most part, the Olson twins pull off some fashion DOs… but occasionally they leave me running in FEAR.

Do you know anyone who has gone to the SPOOKY side???

Link to Gimme that ice!!!

Whilst conversing via the phone today, I blabbered to Keighley about all of the little Banana Repulic beauts I desire. Sure, a majority of the merchandise gives me involuntary convulsions because I have to sit and stare at it all day. No one wants to wear something that reminds them of work. Ya know? Or maybe it’s that I see customers pair things together that absolutely terrify me… Really. People will put a skirt with ruffles and flowers with a shirt that has the same- if not more- flowers and ruffles and then…THEN…. they see a cardigan on their way out with more flowers, wave their friend over, and say “Oh Lisa, look! This goes perfect!” Pretty soon they whip out a water can and BAM they are a walking green house. Oh the nerve (shaking wrist)!!! I’m here to tell you that Less. Is. More.

Side note— Did you know that they actually did a study on “less is more” and the validity of it? Oh man, this takes me back to my inductive reasoning class. Total boresville, but ironically somewhat interesting. Anyways, they found it to be invalid BUT the only exceptions to this failure are fashion and cuisine. Did you hear that? FASHION.

Moving on (and quickly because Teen Mom is on… laugh if you must, but it’s entertaining), this item is on my birthday wish list. A skinny glitter belt. Yes they are back with a bang! They are much prettier in person, and you will be seeing me with it on my hips.

Best part about it, the glitter doesn’t shed like those glitter belts from way back when. Remember those? Honestly, you would see a trail of the stuff leading to the glitterfied suspect, and then some more all over their shirt. I remember in 6th grade I wore a pink one with chunky specks to school, and all of the glitter managed to get into my eye. I had a fear of cutting my cornea – such a thing would happen to me

Let’s face it, although glitter can be cheesy we all love ourselves some ice!! Speaking of which, did anyone see Kanye’s ”ice” on Ellen today? He put diamonds in his teeth.

Sorry for the run-ons and grammatical errors. This post is all over the place….

Link to Eat-Pray-Love-Shop!

In true Julia Roberts fashion I spent the past few weeks in Italy.

Where I discovered many things about myself… I CAN eat pizza and pasta for 22 days straight without gaining weight, I CAN pray and drive at the same time while avoiding the crazies on their motorcycles and I CAN  love another country as much as my own! (Announcement to family: I will be moving there someday WHEN I figure out how).

But there was one thing that I did- that Julia didn’t do on her journery in the hit movie. Window SHOP.

 (Gray and Taupe…the new black!)

I have never seen so many beautful window displays showing all the latest and greatest in fashion. All the famous designers have their stores in every large (and some smaller) cities. It was fashion paradise.

Here are a few of my favorite fashion trends-Italian style.

(Fur was seen in all the fashions throughout Italy. More on that in another post. )

(  Red is still popular and I fell in love with this coat-what a great way to show your fashion “power”.)

( Black is always in style-and very classic.)

(Combat green made a showing. Not sure about how I think about the “statement” hair-bows-but it may be the next new fad {replacing the hair flowers?})

( Loved this!-I call it the Lucille Ball look.)

(And these glasses were my favorite fashion accessory.)

 Ciao’ Bella!
