Plaid made its debut on the fall 2011 runway, and is easily considered a fashion trend for this season. When I saw how prevalent it was in various designer collections, I had to ask… ”When isn’t plaid a fall trend?”
So, when I came across this laptop bag at Urban Outfitters over the weekend (marked down to only 10 dollars!!!!), I knew that it was coming home with me. Luckily, I snagged it before Cami or Keighley could beat me to it. It felt like survival of the fittest while we were digging through the sales bins.
Pretty sure I can’t get enough of it. I have had it hanging in my sight all weekend, and feel pathetic for catching myself staring at it all the time. It’s love!
As a young girl, there are several moments in life you romanticize.
Your first date.
Your first kiss.
Your marriage proposal.
Your wedding day.
You get the point.
One of these built-up moments includes the first time your husband/partner/significant other feels the baby kick inside your belly. Have you ever dreamt about this moment?
Picture it. Your husband gingerly lays his hand upon your stomach (great with child). Then, after a short moment he feels a small kick beneath his palm and tears up. After all, this moment makes him realize the whole baby thing is real. He can feel it too.
I don’t know why I expected this to be some glamorous “bonding” moment (maybe it’s the hormones). In the end, I set this moment up for failure because here’s what actually took place.
“Dallan, the baby’s kicking. Come feel her.”
Here’s where you insert the largest exhaling sound one can muster. Obviously he’s annoyed that he has to scoot closer to me. After all, he was comfortably watching the Diamondbacks game (not like those aren’t on EVERY night).
“Give me your hand.”
I place Dallan’s hand on my stomach and we wait. And wait. Before we know it, 45 seconds has passed and Dallan’s annoyance over the whole issue is bubbling to the surface. I can tell by the breathing and the body language.
Annoyed I say, “Fine, don’t feel her move. I didn’t realize it was going to be such a big issue.”
And, that’s how this beautiful moment when down. Since then, my stubborn side hasn’t extended the invite to feel my belly. He can feel her when she gets here.
Dallan may not be excited over feeling the baby move, but one thing he is excited about is his “Man-Diaper bag”. Dallan and I both detest girly diaper bags, so from the get-go we’ve agreed that we would purchase him a diaper bag that wouldn’t look stupid slung across his shoulder. Here are some of my latest favorites from Urban Outfitters. One thing I love about these bags is the price.
Have any of you found a great Man-Diaper Bag?
I recently came across Hayden Harnett through instagram, and went googly-eyed for their stuff. While browsing their site I found myself mumbling, ”I wish I was still out in Brooklyn. I would sooo stalk this place” (Eric and I were out there around this time last year for his job).
There are a few scarves, tote bags and sunglasses I would love to get my paws on– and that’s only the beginning folks! However, I want to highlight their new HH x Uncommon iPhone 4 cases because of their sheer uniqueness. Who knew an IPhone could look so hot!
A few details about these cases:
- Fits all Apple iPhone 4′s
- Features custom Hayden-Harnett scarf prints
- Uncommon cases have incredible quality!
- You can check out more cases HERE
