Inside FHR: Josephine & Bebe

Josephine & Bebe

This week, Josephine noticed a picture of Bebe that we have hanging in our hallway – yes, we’re dog people. As soon as she realized the bug eyed Boston Terrier in the photo was her own poodle-bear, she squealed gleefully and started bouncing in my arms.

The next morning, I found her making out with Bebe in the family room. Josephine had her mouth open as wide as it would go, and Bebe was excitedly licking the insides of her cheeks.

I have a feeling it’s going to be hard keeping them off each other. It’s only just begun…

DIY: Fall Potpourri Party Favors (Autumn in a Jar)

Scents tend to bring back memories of seasons the most. Lemonade brings back memories of summer, the smell of cocoa reminds me of Christmas, and cinnamon smells like the Autumn/Halloween season. This potpourri recipe encompasses all of the scents of autumn in a jar, including cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, plus some apple and oranges. It would make a great party favor for this fall, and a fun gift for family and friends. It’s very easy, and the finished product looks really cute. lra - Love this! With the ingredients listed how many jars would this fill? And how many cups in a jar? I noticed instructions say to use 1/2 cup per simmer. Thank you!

Design Inspiration: I ♥ Sprinkles and Confetti

I heart confetti and sprinkles

Lately, I find myself stopping to take a second glance at the confetti and sprinkles filling my Pinterest stream. I wish I could throw a fun, frilly party for no reason – just so I had an excuse to play with glitter, paper, and ribbon. Maybe I could start planning Josephine’s birthday party? Too bad Dallan doesn’t believe in 1-year-old birthday parties. Do any of your husbands hate them too? View full post »
