DIY: Sparkle Stud Earrings

While in Boston, Cammie went on a little shopping spree sans the rest of us. When she came back to the hotel, she whipped out a new pair of earrings that were round, delicate, and sparkly. Keighley and I immediately talked about how we could re-create our own version of her new earrings. So, I did just that!

Recipe: Chocolate Gooey Butter Cookies

Dallan’s birthday was last week and I completely forgot about it. Fortunately, my mom mentioned it to me (the day after his birthday) or it probably would have continued to go unnoticed. In my defense, I had woken up in a panic the day of his birthday and quickly rushed out the door to the airport. Luckily, I gave him his gift three weeks early so at least I got that part right.

In an attempt to make up for my mistakes, I’ve been baking and cooking up a storm. One of the recipes he requested was this cookie recipe. He claims that these are his favorite cookies now and I’m not complaining (they use a cake mix and are super easy). Give this recipe a try, I promise you won’t regret it! View full post »

Parenting: 6 Tips for Traveling on a Plane with a Baby

As I mentioned in a previous post, Josephine and I are in Boston this week for a conference. This isn’t the first time that I’ve taken Josephine along with me on a business trip, yet I still found myself getting nervous about the long plane ride (and sleeping arrangements) days prior to take off.

Fortunately, each time I travel with Josephine it ends up being a breeze. I’ve even had random passengers on flights tell me they’ve never been able to travel so well with a baby. This is partly due to Josephine’s temperament, and partly due to preparedness on my part (or so I like to think). Since flying on an airplane with a young child can be overwhelming, I’ve decided to share a few tips on how to make the flight a little less daunting. View full post »

LizT - Great tips Cam! And they absolutely work – especially your suggestion to have your baby work with the treats. Gorgeous photos, and now I am even more bummed I didn’t make the conference. My one tried and true is to get them to work those muscles and burn energy before we get on the plane. Makes a huge difference.
