Halloween is coming up fast and it’s time to do some serious decorating. Orange and black are blanketing stores from left to right, making it tempting to go out and buy some of those compelling decorations. However, there are things you can make that are just as cute and way less expensive using those famous Halloween colors. Like making giant candy corns.  All they are made of are paper, glue, and a few other materials. They can enhance any table display, and give the house a bright Halloween feel. Click below to print out the candy corn template to begin your next craft.

    camberley - Hi Annie-
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my Paper Candy Corn craft. I loved visiting your blog and scrolling through/pinning your beautiful posts. I saw that your sister lives in the Phoenix area and so do we! Whereabouts is she located? Does she blog too?

If you’re like me, it’s hard to find the time to decorate for parties, or make cute desserts like those other people who spend hours crafting and creating. Sometimes it’s easier just to make plain old cupcakes. However, these kite cupcake toppers are an easy and fast way to spruce up those boring cupcakes and keep up with the super-human crafters out there. They are amazingly simple (the hardest part is making the cupcakes) and you probably own all of the materials at home. These kite cupcake toppers are nice for parties and special occasions, or even as gifts. Download the template below, and get to work on these adorable toppers.

 DIY Painted Fall Leaves

What makes Fall so beautiful are the changing colors of the leaves and the way they decorate the ground everywhere you look. Here is a way to enjoy the season by creating art with those gorgeous leaves  on the ground and painting them to use for decoration. Unfortunately, here in Arizona, we don’t get much of a Fall until later in the year – and even then it is very short. If you haven’t experienced falling leaves yet, you can use fake leaves like we did.  This is a very simple and inexpensive activity that is exciting for kids as well as adults.
